If you’ve never played an online card game, you really have missed out. I don’t mean that online card games replace real card games, but who has time to meet with people for a card game in person. The great thing about playing a card game online is that you don’t have to set up a time and the place. You do not have to be dependent on other people’s schedules. You can pop in anytime you want, and then leave again, easy as pie.
Of course, everyone has a different online card game that they like to play. Many people like to play the traditional games. For example, poker online and online blackjack are both favorites. Online Texas hold ‘em, in particular, is doing very well.
Before the US Congress banned online gambling, I had many friends who would make hundreds of dollars playing online card games. The best thing is that they would usually enter the online card game for free. The gambling companies would host a free online card game in hopes of luring them into the higher stakes ones which cost money.
Of course, online trading card games are much more popular with the kids. The online yu gi oh game, in particular, is quite popular with all the little kids that I know. My daughter, my sons, and all of my nieces and nephews love it. I can’t say I complain either. I would much rather have them play a kids online card game than some of the more violent games out there. At least with an online card game, they get to learn strategy while making friends. Plus, these trading card games cost a lot of money.
When the kids play card games online, they don’t have to spend anything usually. Although there is the risk that an online card game may lead to future gambling, it is a risk that I am willing to take. It entertains the kids, and it seems harmless enough.
One of my favorite things is playing speed the card game online. You probably played speed as a kid. It is a fast-paced game that is infamous for ruining whole decks of cards. When you play it online, however, nothing gets ruined. It is a game of reflexes, and my favorite online card game. As long as you are quick on the mouse, it can be a real joy to play.
