If the human shampoo has a lower pH than required by the dog skin, then this would result into skin irritation to your beloved pet. While selecting a shampoo for your dog, you must try to find out the skin type of your pet. If you detect any kind of skin peeling, then your dog has a dry skin. It would be a bit difficult for you to become aware of the skin type of your pet, if it has long hairs on its fur. However, the long hair could be gently separated with the intention to check its skin type. If you do not notice any of the abovementioned characteristics in the skin, then your dog has a normal skin type. If you are not able to identify the skin type of your dog, then do not hesitate to confront a veterinarian.

You must stress on a natural shampoo for your dog and that should be appropriate in accordance with its skin type. If you find it tough to pronounce the ingredients of the bottle of the shampoo, then ingratiate yourself that it is a synthetic shampoo.

If your dog is tainted with ticks and fleas, then you should go for a natural shampoo that is especially designed to remove ticks and fleas from the coat of your dog. However, you should be alert while using the shampoo. You should precisely avoid the mouth and eyes of your dog while using that shampoo, because it might prove harmful. A profoundly scented shampoo is also a bad choice. The scents present in the shampoo may cause skin irritation to your dog.

Important Guide - Drawing Cones in Pencil Drawings

How to Draw with Pencil Fundamentals - Drawing Cones

Any scene can initially be seen as a composition of a series of forms that are all related to four basic geometric solids: the brick, the sphere, the cylinder, and the cone. In this article we concentrate on the cone, i.e., we will detail its properties and its place in the overall scheme of a drawing.

In this article we discussed how to produce a line drawing of a cone-like object. What we outlined above should be enough to get you started in the right direction. It should not take more than a couple of days to draw just about any cone-like object in a very convincing and correct manner.

A perfect cone is a three-dimensional solid that has a circular base on one end and terminates in a point at the other end. Invariably, the first example of a cone that pops into the mind is that of an ice cream cone. But there are bottles, glasses, lampshades, bowls, and many other man-made objects with shapes based on a cone.

When you begin to draw conical objects, remember that a cone is a solid mass that tapers uniformly from a circular base to a point. In the beginning, when you identify an object that has an underlying conical form, you should draw a perfect cone first. The cone can be long and thin like in a beer glass, or short and broad like in a lampshade. Only after you have drawn the cone in the right orientation and in the right proportions start adding the deviations you observe (bulges, stretches, etc.). Pretty soon you will not need this crutch anymore and you will be able to immediately start with the object. Nevertheless you will have instantly recognized the underlying shape and you will be using your memory of the perfect cone and use it as a guide.

The cone has also an axis of symmetry. To first lightly draw this axis will help you tremendously with the rendering of the correct geometry. The elliptical base should be perpendicular to the axis and the whole cone should be perfectly symmetric around the axis of symmetry. You can mark off a point on the axis where the tip of the cone is to be and then it is a simple matter of running two diagonal lines from the tip to the ends of the ellipse. Of course, the cone should also comply with the laws of perspective and should also be rendered according to those laws. A correctly drawn cone should fit into the overall perspective of the scene and the drawn ribs on the cone should converge with all other parallel lines to the same point at infinity. The same perspective rules apply to the planes in which ellipses drawn on the cone lie.

Ultimately, with enough practice, all you have to do is observe correctly, and all things will fall in place.

Identify a number of conical object and practice drawing them. Champaign glasses, ice cream cones, lampshades, party hats, etc. are all excellent examples. Pay attention to the proportions, lengths, curvatures, perspective, etc.

The three-dimensionality of a line drawing of a cone can be simulated by adding a number of ellipses along its body. Of course, when you have learned the skill of shading you will be able to create a much better solution. In fact, you have a chance to create the perfect illusion because, in essence, the only thing there is in a black and white scene are shades of different values. In other words, if you can draw the perfect geometry and add to it the perfect values then you have the perfect drawing (at least in terms of likeness if not in terms of creating a piece of art).

This is all you need to know about rendering line drawings of objects that have the cone as their underlying geometric form.

Are You Looking For A Opportunity To Excel? Have You Considered Online Education?

In today’s rocky economy, many people are quite naturally worried about the security of their jobs. No one relishes the prospect of opening their paycheck and finding a pink slip inside, ruining what you thought was a secure job. Many large companies were formerly thought of as bulletproof, yet even employers like Google are laying off large numbers of employees, and some retailers such as Kay Bee Toys, Circuit City and Wilson’s leather are closing down all of their retail outlets altogether. Even the formerly impenetrable sector of government jobs is experiencing hardship, as local and federal governments contract to save money. In times of such economic uncertainty, is there any way you can make your employer see you as a “recession-proof” invaluable asset? You will, of course, want to stay active in your personal job search and check local job listings daily, in addition, there’s one other huge step you can take, too.

There’s one surefire way to let your employer know that you’re valuable- educate yourself. Put yourself in your employer’s shoes- if you had two employees, both equally qualified, equally experienced, and equally salaried and benefited, wouldn’t you want to retain the one with a higher level of education? Some employers feel so passionately about their employees continuing their education, that they are willing to reimburse them up to 100% of the upfront cost of their continued learning! As it’s in the best interest of both the employer and employee that the worker be as knowledgeable as possible, many employers see higher education as quite a valuable function.

It may seem like an impossibility to keep up with a full time job, stay abreast of the demands of friends and family, and attend college, simultaneously. It’s not impossible- look at the number of people that attend law school at night, for example- but it is extremely difficult. However, a great alternative has arisen in recent years- the alternative of home school, distance education. Using technology to learn from a distance allows you to get a degree in a shorter time than you ever thought possible, and allows you to learn in the comfort of your home. You will receive the same high-quality, stimulating education while avoiding a lot of the pitfalls of traditional brick and mortar classes such as buying books, finding parking, dressing presentably and adhering to attendance of classes on a traditional schedule.

Most online classes consist of reading electronic course packs or text books, and then participating in discussions via email or message board, while competing both individual and group writing assignments. There are also collaborative assignments with other students, so you’ll want to find a way to stay in touch with them, such as an IRC chat room or Instant Messenger. The biggest attraction of distance learning is that you can largely set your own schedule- if the urge to write a paper strikes you at 4 AM, you can write it then, and if you wake up thinking about a great point to raise in discussion, you don’t have to wait for class to start to do it. Costs are about the same of a traditional physical classroom (maybe a little bit higher), so the cost isn’t prohibitively expensive, either.

You will need a healthy dose of self discipline to succeed at distance learning, and you’ll need to be personally responsible and provide your own motivation, as well. It’s important to remember that with the freedom of no physical classes to attend comes the responsibility of remembering to finish assignments and participate in discussions- you won’t have the professor or teaching assistant there to hold your hand. If that sounds doable to you, you should strongly consider online education as a way to improve yourself- it’s a no-lose proposition!
